At Diggle Day Nursery, your childās well-being, safety, education and happiness are at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can reach their full potential throughout their early years.
We work closely with families to ensure that every child has the best possible experience, and we pride ourselves on offering high-quality care and learning opportunities from day one.
š Settling In
We understand that starting nursery can be a big step, for both children and parents. Thatās why we recommend a settling-in period, giving your child time to adjust to their new environment and build trusting relationships with our team.
š Daily Procedures
To keep your child safe and secure, we ask parents to follow a few important procedures:
- Sign in your child on arrival.
- If someone else is collecting your child, let us know in advance and confirm who the authorised person will be.
- If you're unavailable during the day, please provide alternative emergency contact details so we can reach someone if needed.

š¤ Building Strong Parent Partnerships
We believe that strong parent partnerships are essential for each childās success. At Diggle Day Nursery, we:
- Operate an open-door policy ā parents and carers are welcome to visit at any time.
- Encourage you to join in with activities and become part of your childās learning journey.
- Hold regular discussions and progress reviews so you're always informed and involved.
- Work closely with all families to ensure their needs ā and their childās ā are fully supported.
Introducing parent zone
Parent zone is a new smartphone app which gives you access to information about your childās time with us at nursery.
You will have access to a timeline of daily events and observations and assessments (including photos and videos). You can add observations from home, request to update your contact details and communicate with us through direct messages.
Soon you will receive an email from us to register your email address to invite you to access āParentZoneā.
Please make sure we have an up-to-date email address for you. Emails to register āParentZoneā will automatically be sent to Mum and Dad. If you would like any other carers/family members to access āParentZoneā please notify Emma or Trish
You can download the app for āParentZoneā on both android and iOS (apple) devices.Ā Just head over to the respective app store and search for āParentZoneā.
Once downloaded, open your app and enter your email address and new secure password. If you do not have a device to download the app to, you can access āParentZoneā online by visiting www.parentzone.me
Accessing your āParentZoneā Menu
Everything on the app can be accessed by clicking the menu on the left-hand side.
Here you can find:
- Your profile ā update your contact details, security, accessibility options and notification settings.
- Timeline ā have access to a timeline of Daily Events and observations. Filter the timeline.
- Today screen- Access to a childās Profile, bookings for the day, outstanding balance, and a day in the life report.
- Bookings screen ā monthly/ weekly calendar of bookings, request/ edit bookings for your child.
- Add screen ā add observations from home using pictures and videos.
- Gallery ā scroll through all of the photos which have been added for your child.
- Communications- access to all of the different communications which have been sent from the nursery
- Messages ā when the nursery starts a conversation with you, you can reply here.
Adding observations from home
We want you to be involved in your childās learning journey. Youāve got the opportunity to contribute your own moments, noting down all the fun things you do at home with your children. To do this click on the add button. Select the time and date and then click āAdd photoā or āAdd video.ā Select as many photos or videos as you would like and add your description in the noes section. Remember to click āsend to nursery.ā
This will be a fantastic addition to our nursery and can only improve our partnership with you as parents and hopefully make you feel more involved with your childās learning.
Once you have registered you should hopefully be able to view all observations, photographs, and videos.

We have loved Diggle Day Nursery, so much so, that our third child will soon be starting! They get to know every child as an individual and provide so much care and guidance. Learning is focused on each child’s interests, and because of that, we have seen our older two flourish. Fantastic provision with a family feel!
My little girl has attended since 14 months old, she is now 3. Staff are attentive, they have supported my child’s learning and feedback regularly. My daughter has thrived here and we would recommend this nursery to anyone. Overall, a nurturing, homely and supportive setting.
The best nursery! The staff are very knowledgeable and confident in their roles. My little boy has settled so well, you can see that his confidence and independence come on so much since going. He is thriving. The staff will also set up activities around your child’s interests in their focus weeks, and you will get a detailed write-up and photos on how your child has done at the end of the week. You will get regular updates in the day, which is a bonus, seeing what your child has been getting up to. The staff will always give you an in-depth handover when you pick up your child on how they have got on in the day.
We have had such a lovely experience so far with Diggle Nursery. Our daughter has been attending for nearly a year and her speech and social skills have come on leaps and bounds in that time. She goes in happily each morning which is a testament to the relationships she’s built with the staff. The nursery regularly comes up with new and interesting activities for the children. I have no concerns about how well she is cared for and the staff genuinely seem fond of her. We receive updates each day on her food, sleep etc and photos now and again too! It’s such a relief to find somewhere where we feel she is safe and well looked after.
My child has always enjoyed this nursery, they go in happy and come out happy. The nursery is always willing to help with any issues we may have and very supportive of me and my child. Fabulous nursery, very excited to see my child progress through until school.
The best nursery! We literally have nothing bad to say about Diggle Day Nursery! We have two children that attend the setting and both of them are absolutely thriving. They love to attend nursery and this makes us so happy. The staff are so accommodating and make you feel like a member of the family instantly, their relationships with every single one of the children is so heartwarming and personal. The nursery is fantastic at parent involvement with stay and plays, Christmas shows etc, but also at an every day level when they give really good in-depth handovers. The food that is served at nursery is excellent and smells delicious every day when we drop off. We just can’t thank every single member of staff enough for the care and attention they give to our children!
Our little one is thriving at Diggle Day Nursery. We couldn’t ask for more from the staff who are all friendly, kind and confident which reflects onto the children. There are always creative activities for children to get involved with and a focus on playing outside in the fresh air. The nursery has a real family feel, our little one gets to try all kinds of different and delicious foods, and there are lots of opportunities for parents to get involved through stay and plays, regular updates on your child’s daily routine and things they are enjoying in the app. We are really pleased we decided to send our little one here.
